Melissa Hall Simmons

Principal Designer

Meet Melissa

The daughter of an interior designer and a civil engineer, Melissa Hall Simmons inherited an ability to combine the creative and practical sides of design. Growing up, she watched her mother work closely with design clients while her father built homes, so when the time came for Melissa to design her first house, she was able to apply a lifetime of familiarity with the process.

Melissa’s first design project, her own home, was featured on the cover of At Home in Arkansas magazine in 2008, and since then, she has worked with a growing list of residential and commercial clients, been featured in numerous design publications, and grown her design business to a team of seven and counting.

Now, Melissa has two children of her own, Harlowe and Henley, and two bonus children, Caroline and Charlie, in whom she hopes to instill the same creativity, practicality, and entrepreneurial spirit she learned from her parents.

Meet the Team

Since 2008, Studio MH has been a full-scale residential and commercial design firm working on all aspects of interior design, from drawing custom homes to overseeing the details of the décor. Melissa and her team have experience in a wide variety of projects including historical renovations, new residences, healthcare, urban condominiums, rural farmhouses and upscale commercial spaces.
